The fastest way to get Canada Permanent Resident is Canada Express Entry. To enter the Express Entry pool, individuals need to calculate their Express Entry Points also, called Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. These points are awarded to candidates for their language ability, age, work experience, education and many more.

The candidates in the pool are ranked according to the CRS points. The highest ranked candidate will get the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canada PR.

There are multiple ways to increase your CRS points and have chances to get an invitation soon.

Improving your Language Abilities

Did you know that being a single candidate for Express Entry, you can achieve up to 260 points and even 270 points being a couple?

Achieving highest IELTS score is the one of the way to increase your CRS points. You need to score at least CLB 7 to meet eligibility criteria for Canada Express Entry Program, which means 6 in each module of the IELTS. However, the candidate can also achieve Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 9 in each ability. Your little hard work and effort to score CLB 9 will be a positive effect on your CRS scores.

You can also add up to 22 points by learning French language and appear for the second language test.

Getting your ECA Done

Still did not get ECA done for your Educational Qualifications? Education Credential Assessment (ECA) can add up to 200 points. Get your Bachelor’s degree assessed, which can bring up to 170 points. If you have two or more certificates or degrees, you have the chances to claim extra points under education section.

Planning to settle with a spouse? Add up to 10 points by getting ECA done for your spouse’s education.

If you already have CLB 7 and Post-secondary education of two or more years, you can score 25 additional CRS points. Also if you already have CLB 9 and Post-secondary education of two or more years, you can score 50 additional CRS points.

Work Experience

Without having any work experience, you are not eligible for the Canada Express Entry. Your work experience is a major requirement in calculating your CRS.

Start with choosing your occupation listed in National Occupation Classification (NOC). Selecting the right job is the easiest way to increase your CRS points. You need to provide immigration the proof of your role experience at the time you received the invitation.

Not enough, having CLB 9 with foreign work experience of at least 3 years can boost your score by 50 additional points. CLB 7 and at least 3 years of foreign experience will give you additional 25 points.
